This publication is the result of Emily Mendenhall and her co-authors’ research on traumatic experience in life history narratives of low-income Mexican immigrant women in Chicago. They investigate how subjective reporting relates to depressive and PTSD symptomatology, cultural idioms, and repeated traumatic experiences.
