In the first episode of the “Mundus” special series of the Estudos Medievais Podcast, from the Laboratório de Estudos Medievais​​​​​​​​​​​​​​, Timothy Newfield talks with Isabela Alves Silva about the Justinianic Plague and climate change in the beginning of the Middle Ages.

The “Mundus” special series brings specialists from different parts of the world, to provide listeners in Brazil the possibility of hearing interviews with foreign Medieval History scholars.

The Laboratório de Estudos Medievais is a research conglomerate originally based on the Universidade de São Paulo and the Universidade Estadual de Campinas, and now also present in other universities in the South East, Center West, South and North East of Brazil.
