Heart Of The Harvey: Call For Submissions

A Festival of Original Theater, Music, Dance, Comedy & Poetry
Please email submissions by February 14, 2026 to both: heartoftheharvey@georgetown.edu and heartoftheharvey@gmail.com.
Heart of the Harvey is a festival of original pieces, 5-10 minutes in length, including short plays,
music of any genre, monologues, dance, comedy, and poetry. Anyone affiliated with Georgetown University (students, faculty, staff, alumni) at any level (undergrad, grad, med, law) may submit! All pieces must have motifs of science, medicine, medical humanities, medical politics, or any story by a medical student, to fit Georgetown’s Operating Theatre space. Early submissions will receive feedback from the producers. You do not have to perform your piece if you do not want to, we will be inviting performers to join us—and, on that note, please reach out if you are interested in other roles, such as directing or performing!!! This is the fourth year of the Heart of the Harvey. It is produced by Bill Rebeck, Ph.D., MFA, from the Department of Neuroscience at the Georgetown University School of Medicine, and April E. Brassard, MFA, from the Department of Performing Arts in the College of Arts & Sciences.
Heart of the Harvey is sponsored by the Georgetown University Medical Humanities Initiative and the Engelhard Project for Connecting Life and Learning.
