Professor Daniel Marchalik on The Diane Rehm Show to Discuss “The Covenant of Water”

On August 30, Professor Daniel Marchalik joined a panel of guests to discuss Abraham Verghese’s novel The Covenant of Water. The book is about three generations of a family in Kerala where at least one family member suffers a drowning per generation. The novel, part of Oprah’s Book Club, traces the family from 1900 to the 1970s. The author, Abraham Verghese, is an American physician and novelist who explores medical themes in his books.
