On November 16, the Medical Humanities Initiative held an event with V.V. Ganeshananthan, author of Brotherless Night, a novel that follows the perspective of a young girl who wants to become a doctor in the face of the Sri Lankan civil war. Ganeshananthan read an excerpt from her novel and spoke with the Director of the Medical Humanities Initiative, Dr. Krishnan, about the book. This was followed by a Q&A session and reception.
