After acclaimed runs in D.C. and Chicago, The Lab’s original play, “Remember This: The Lesson of Jan Karski”, co-written by Clark Young and Derek Goldman, was presented at the Davis Performing Arts Center between May 12 and May 22, 2022. Academy Award nominee David Strathairn portrays World War II hero, Holocaust witness, and legendary GU professor Jan Karski in a tour-de-force solo performance that the Washington Post calls, “GRIPPING…Starring a virtuosic David Strathairn…under Goldman’s inspired direction.”

The performances were followed by conversations regarding Jan Karski’s life and legacy. On May 22, 2022, the conversation featured David Strathairn (as Jan Karski), Nancy Pelosi (Speaker of the US House of Representatives) and Joel Hellman (Dean of the School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University) and playwrights Clark Young and Derek Goldman.
