“Integrating Spiritual Care into Palliative Consultation: A Case Study in Expanded Practice”
Posted in Scholarship | Tagged Hunter Groninger, Scholarship 2017
In this publication, Dr. Hunter Groninger and his co-authors describe the role of a palliative care chaplain embedded within the interdisciplinary palliative care team, demonstrating how the role of this palliative chaplain differs from that of a traditional hospital chaplain. The researchers postulate that integrating spiritual care provision into a palliative care team may offer a broader spiritual care experience for patients receiving palliative care and begin to delineate expanded clinical roles for the palliative chaplain.
