On December 2, 2020, Nicoletta Pireddu was invited to speak the “Humanities Centers as Sites of Dissent” virtual panel, hosted by the Center for Humanities Research of George Mason University. The discussion also featured Wendy S. Hesford, Sylvester Johnson, and Susan Ven Pelt Petry, and focused on how humanities centers foster research during turbulent times, and how they encourage and support the study of dissent, considered broadly across time periods and disciplines.
