On December 3, 2020, The Lab hosted this special event honoring the legacy of Jan Karski and its relevance to the current moment. The event featured reflections on Karski’s legacy from

  • House Speaker Nancy Pelosi;
  • Members of the creative team of The Lab’s original production Remember This: The Lesson of Jan Karski: Oscar-Nominated actor David Strathairn; director and co-author Derek Goldman; and co-author Clark Young (COL’09);
  • Lab co-director Ambassador Cynthia Schneider; Lab Inclusive Pedagogy Specialist and co-professor of the “Just Communities” course Bearing Witness: The Legacy of Karski Today Ijeoma Njaka;
  • President John J. DeGioia; Father Leo O’Donovan; Dean Joel Hellman, Ambassador Colleen Bell (P’22); and
  • Students in the Just Communities course on Karski.

The event also presented a sneak-peak of Remember This, the forthcoming feature-film based on the stage production.
