On April 21, 2022, a group of MedStar Georgetown University Hospital patients, caregivers, associates and community members gathered online for the 7th annual Poetry Café. The annual event, sponsored by the Arts & Humanities Program, directed by Julia Langley, and the Department of Mission and Pastoral Care, celebrates the healing that comes through the written word as it is spoken. This year’s themes were: “Reconnect, Re-engage, Renew”.
Submissions for the 8th annual Poetry Café will begin in February, 2023. For submissions and more information, contact Sarah Burt.
